Socially awkward

A quiet night is full of laughter
a crowd shares smiles and tears
Their faces glisten in the moonlight
And I don’t know why I’m here

A gentle song of tender love
A sound as soft as satin
flowing to their ears
their faces glisten in the moonlight

An applause would deafen silence
so they all just stand in peace
Their tranquility would envy heaven
And I’m thinking I should leave

One last glance in the distance
see the crowd of people sway
I should be…
but that’s not me
And I’ve had enough today.
