Listing items you have sitting around your home for sale on eBay is an easy way to make money fast.

I write about this so much because I consistently find myself making money while clearing out my home. It’s the side hustle that keeps on giving.

Create an eBay account, list some items either on auction or at the going market price, and that’s it. From there, you sit back and watch the magic happen. In this case, the magic just so happens to be money in your pockets.

It’s all about doing the right research, putting in the leg work, and then getting paid. Those old items you have sitting around in the back of your closet or dresser drawers could be making you money instead of collecting dust.

Here are three items I sold on eBay last week to turn my trash into cash.

Old clothes include anything from sneakers to pants and tank tops.

Here’s a scenario. You go to a store like Nike and buy a shirt on sale for $15. You wear it for as long as you want, in my case, it was 5 years.

Then, you list the same shirt on eBay for auction. It gets a couple bids and eventually sells for $9. After fees, you walk away with $8 in your wallet.

So, technically in that scenario I only paid $7 to wear a Nike shirt for 5 years. Talk about being frugal.

I do this all the time with so many different kinds of clothes. I actually make more money than what I paid when I sell used sneakers I have sitting in my closet after years of wear.
